He was with us during our ADE Special and he is here with a brand-new release on the A State of Trance label. We are of course talking about the one and only DIM3NSION! His track ‘City of Lights’ is bound to warm your heart and put your soul on fire. We had a talk with him to discuss it.
For those who aren’t familiar with you yet: how would you describe yourself and your music?
Borja [DIM3NSION’s real name] is a close friend, a happy person who found his passion in electronic music and is turning it into his profession with hard work and perseverance. A dreamer with the fortune of having a knack for creating melodies, which may be why I’m more well-known.
What is the story behind your latest release?
With ‘City Of Lights,’ I wanted to create something special and emotional during the breakdown, using only vocals and a piano. After that, the idea was to transform it into something more euphoric and catchy in the drop, incorporating modern synths and an easy melody to hum along with. It was a great experience working on this track because all the elements fit well together from the beginning, and I love it when a production flows like this.
Why did you choose to release it at the A State of Trance imprint?
I think the label is the best place for trance music and especially in my case, considering the heavy support by Armin van Buuren in his live sets this year and the regular support on the radio show. I think it was the best decision!
