For those who aren’t familiar with you yet: how would you describe yourself and your music?
C-Systems is Akki Hisham (Oslo, Norway) and Matt Allen (London, UK) and we produce driving, melodic, uplifting Trance music! We are incredibly close friends who have worked together for over 10 years in music and love producing our style of Trance. We write a lot of vocal tracks and have worked with some amazing singers, including several tracks on A State of Trance. Our style of Trance always has a core melody and with both of us being musicians, we tend to use strong hooks in our productions.
What is the story behind your latest release?
‘Unreal’ is a HUGE trancer with a soaring main lead! After a few hours in the studio, we fell in love with the main chord stabs and decided to showcase them, which is why the drop features those on their own too. The track name comes from our immediate reaction when we put the parts together – it just sounded unreal!
Why did you choose to release it at the A State of Trance imprint?
We love working closely with Armada and the team. It’s barely been 2 years since we signed our track ‘Every Star’ and since then we have grown to know the label family really well. Being signed to A State of Trance means our music reaches the right audience at the right times too, which is really important for us. We love ASOT and as massive Trance fans have followed the label and events for years. To have our releases on A State of Trance still feels surreal. We are so grateful for the support we get from Armin and Ruben, which we will always feel blessed for.
