He had one of the best sets of our ADE Special and his track ‘Tokyo777’ is finally coming out on Armind. We are of course talking about 7 Skies! We caught up with him to talk about his work as a producer and why he choose Armind to release ‘Tokyo777’ on.
For those who aren’t familiar with you yet: how would you describe yourself and your music?
I’d describe myself as a very picky music producer. When I make music, my main focus is always quality over quantity, which is something that never benefited my career throughout the years. But to me, experimenting and bringing something fresh to the table with each release is the most important thing.
What is the story behind your latest release?

But to me, experimenting and bringing something fresh to the table with each release is the most important thing.
The title is a fun one. Every time I listen to this song, somehow I can always picture something like a movie scene of a dark underground club in Tokyo with sweaty people dancing, neon lights and crazy clothes. This gave me the idea of ‘Tokyo’. Then I added 777 to make it a little more unique and “personal”.
Why did you choose to release it at the Armind imprint?
Armin has been perhaps the only person who, at the beginning, really believed in the song as much as I did. He played it everywhere this summer, so Armind felt like the perfect place.
