The show is one of the highlights in the career of any DJ, ‘cause only the biggest DJ’s are given the honour to create the 3 hour mix and have it be part of the BBC’s Radio 1 show. It’s not the first time that Armin’s having an Essential Mix though. His first one, in 2003, was followed by Essential Mixes in 2004, 2006 and 2009.
